How to play

Guess the Make, Model, and Year of the daily car. You have 5 tries.

The photo starts heavily cropped. Each wrong guess reveals more of the car.

Pick the make first — the model list narrows to that make. Every picker has a type-to-filter box.

Easy mode keeps the dropdowns honest: pick a make and the model and year narrow to real combinations — choose a model to limit the years, or a year to limit the models. And once a guess earns the “right region” hint, the make list narrows to that region. Hard mode lets you guess any year for any model. You can switch modes until you submit your first guess.

How do you play CarSpotr?

Study the cropped photo and guess the car's make, model, and year. After each wrong guess the photo zooms out to reveal more of the car, and color-coded feedback shows which fields are correct, close, or wrong. Solve it in five guesses or less.

When does a new car puzzle come out?

A new mystery car drops every day at midnight Pacific Time. Everyone in the world gets the same car on the same day.

What counts as a correct year guess?

The year is marked correct within 2 years of the answer and close within 5. The make is close when it's from the same region (for example, guessing one Japanese brand when the answer is another).

Is there a Wordle for cars?

Yes — that's CarSpotr. Same daily format as Wordle: one guess-the-car puzzle a day, five tries, color-coded feedback, and a result grid you can share. The difference is you're naming a car's make, model, and year instead of a five-letter word.

Any tips for guessing the car?

Work from what the crop actually shows: badge shape, headlight and taillight signatures, wheel design, mirror and door-handle styling, and panel gaps. Spend the first guess pinning down the region — a wrong make from the right part of the world comes back as close, which narrows the field fast — then use the higher/lower year hint to close in.
